25-Oct-2021 –MANILA, ActiveLearning Inc. – a leading provider of cybersecurity training in the Philippines, recently conducted EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker certification training to information security personnel of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines. NGCP is a privately owned corporation in charge of operating, maintaining, and developing the country’s state-owned power grid, an interconnected system that transmits gigawatts of power at thousands of volts from where it is made to where it is needed.
The training was conducted last Sept 6 – 10, 2021 where the students learned the tools and techniques used by hackers and information security professionals to break into any computer system. The course taught them how to think like a hacker to better defend against future attacks. The training consisted of comprehensive lectures and hands-on lab exercises to employ a systematic ethical hacking process.
“We are very pleased to be chosen as NGCP’s provider for CEH training and certification. We look forward to continue providing top-notch, high-quality cybersecurity training to NGCP and other organizations in the Philippines,” said Gavin Lim, ActiveLearning’s CEO.
“The instructor is very approachable and made sure that each participant’s query was answered. For an electrical engineer, taking this course is really challenging. Fortunately, the instructor is very patient and guided the class so that everyone can grasp and understand each subject.” said Psalm Genesis Abella, Grid Studies and Security Assessment Principal Engineer.
“Our instructor was very knowledgeable of the subject matter, accommodating to the participant’s queries, and explained the topics very clearly. My first time for this kind of training. Very useful in my line of work. Hope I could get another chance to participate in another course.” said Ann Carla Sialana, SCADA/EMS Principal Engineer.
